The iPhone has a great feature which can automatically detect if the phone is up against your ear during a call.  It is called the “Proximity Sensor”.  It works well, however you may find yourself mysteriously muting a phone call.  Your ear can sometimes play tricks on you!  Here is a great tip if you have a habit of not putting the phone all the way on your ear during a call.

1.  Dial your call normally.
2.  Once phone call is made, click the “keypad” and resume your conversation.  No more “muting” calls from the ear!
